Transformer – Too big but too powerless
Just came back after watching transformers 3 – “Dark side of the moon” and I am disappointed. Why? Because all that size and power and these transformers can’t fight even human soldiers. Sam witwicky.. the so called hero is able to destroy star scream by hitting him in the eye. The scene was made more for a 10 year old than anything.
Here are a few odd things:
1. Transformers opening scene (click here): One MH53 helicopter turns out to be an alien transformer and is able to destroy a full US military airbase. Wow! That was cool. But the same robot was unable to do anything at the end of the movie… why… did he finish all his ammo?
2. Optimus prime: Whenever he is in shape of a truck he is shinning, you can look at the paint quality and just love it. But it seems whenever he transforms into standing robot lot of paint is rub off. Dude… amazing.
3. Bumblee bee: Can’t talk in movie one till half way because of some problem with his sound system or whatever, but the doc robot fixes him but then again from moive 2 he can’t talk. So much for alien technology.
4. Agent simmons and sam get access to every facility.. cool!
5. Transformers most of the time are firing bullets.. I mean come on… we humans can do the same. Whats the fun in being an robot if all you can do is fire bullets??
In all, I was not impressed. I wanted to see more fights and more cool action. I mean the destructive powers of transformers should have been awesome like movie 1, but apparently they are not as cool.
